Q3-What kind of media institution might distribute your media and why?

Q4-Who would be the audience for your magazine?

The audience for my media product would be mainly girls but also a few boys. They would range from mid-teens to mid-20's. They would all be mainstream as the music in my magazine is pop and mainstream. Here are two examples of people who would be the target audience for my media product.

Whips And Chains Excite Me
Standfirst
As Rihanna’s fifth album ‘Loud’ is  released, Connor  Fazakerley-Waring takes a glance back at her amazing career and discovers how she became known for her raw sexuality.
Body
Robyn Rihanna Fenty started life far different to how it has turned out. Her music also mirrors the changes in her life. It seems that for practically every album she releases a new style of music is applied to it.

As news broke out in February 2009 of Chris Brown’s assault on Rihanna many music critics and millions of loyal fans probably thought her music would never be the same again… and it wasn’t. It became better yet again.

Despite all she had been through, she had the drive to create her forth album, which was more from the soul than any other. Rihanna said “ this album reflects a lot of feelings… but also a lot of personal emotions.” This album saw another side to Rihanna, this time with a spikey new haircut and a catchy pop vibe to her songs.
‘Rated R’ surely gave the album justice to just how sexual some of the lyrics were. No matter how sexual the contents were loyal fans downloaded and bought the songs in there millions. It would appear Rihanna was fighting back but in a different way.

She was proving to the world she was a strong and confident woman and her sexual desires made her seem in control and take the role you would associate with a male. As female fans worldwide heard and saw this new version of Rihanna it would have inspired them in some shape or form to become more like her.

‘Rude Boy’ reached number 2 in the UK album charts with ‘Hard’ and  ‘Russian Roulette’ closely behind. To finish off the album she released ‘Te Amo’ which showed a completely unexpected side to Rihanna when the video was released depicting her as a lesbian.

Further proving to fans and Chris of her confidence and raw sexuality. Success after success persuaded Rihanna to depart on an international tour called ‘The Last Girl on Earth Tour’ which featured a variety of songs from all of her albums. The tour and the album focus on the theme of sex and sexual desires, which can clearly be related to by people, which is probably why ‘Rated R’ was so successful.
In Rihanna’s newly released album ‘Loud’ she collaborates with other artists in many of her singles. ‘What’s My Name?’ with ‘Drake’, ‘Love The Way You lie’ with ‘Eminem’ and ‘Who’s That Chick’ with ‘David Guetta’. Two of these songs were in the UK top 10 at the same time along with her song ‘Only girl (In The world)’.

The song expresses Rihanna’s feelings and needs in love and talks about how she deserves to be treated like she’s perfect. ‘Loud’ sold over 207, 000 copies during the first week of sale. This album gives of a lot more of a dance, club vibe and basically does what it says on the tin, the album is loud.

Her style seems to be changing more and more often with the new blood red hair and yet another new sexual themed song ‘S&M’, which is far more extravagant than anything she has ever released by referring to Sadomasochism a form of torture sex. The line “whips and chains excite me” shocked fans but after listening to previous songs they have accepted it as Rihanna further expressing her sexuality despite it getting more racy.
Over the next few months ‘Rihanna’ will probably release a couple more singles to add to ever growing list and then move on to a new album and a new sexual image all together. But I guess it’s what she does best. After all her albums grow more and more successful by the day.
